Тема урока: "What do you know about football?"

Цель урока: расширить кругозор учащихся по теме урока посредством изучения иностранного языка.

Задачи урока:

●учить учащихся работать самостоятельно и применять полученную информацию из текста при ответах на вопросы.

●изучить новую лексику.

●учить читать текст про себя с извлечением нужной информации.

●продолжать формировать умения выполнять презентации(в Microsoft Excel Power Point) по заданной теме.

●развивать навыки письменной речи.

●формировать интерес к предмету, воспитывать умение внимательно слушать собеседника.

Тип урока: обобщение и систематизация знаний.

Организационный момент. Приветствие.

Good morning, dear children! I`m glad to see you again. Let`s start our lesson. Children, what date is it today? Who is absent? What is the weather today? Well, thank you for the answers.

Ознакомление с названием темы урока.

Boys and girls, look at the blackboard. You can see some photos and words there. Can you guess who are these people on the photos, what are they famous for? ( На доске постеры с изображением известных футболистов, учащиеся называют их имена) . O`K, you`re right, they`re all famous football players. Can you tell the theme of our lesson, then? (Учащиеся высказывают свои предположения, называют тему урока). Yes, you`ve guessed it. Today we are going to speak about football, it`s rules. So the topic of our lesson is "What do you know about football?" We are going to read about the rules of this game, we`ll see your presentations of some famous football players, you will be asked some questions. But first let`s practice some English sounds.

Фонетическая зарядка.

Name the sounds:

1.noise a gorilla makes ([ʊ])

2 a horrible sound ( [ɜ:] )

3 a doctor`s visit sound ([æ])d

4. a smiling sound ([і:])

5. when you hold a baby and sing ([α:])

And now read these sounds in the words. ( на доске выписаны слова в транскрипции с данными звуками, учащиеся читают их вслух)

Проверка домашней работы.

Now it`s time to check your hometask. You were to prepare the presentations about any famous football players. Before we start watching them, please do the next task on your sheets of papers. Find the odd names:

David Beckham, Aleksander Zubkov, John Terry, Andrei Arshavin, John Travolta, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionyel Messi, Victoria Beckham.

Активизация навыков устной речи.

So, your presentations are very interesting. Let`s find out what you have learnt from it. Answer my questions: Whose presentation do you like best? Why? Was it easy to understand the speakers? Have you learnt anything interesting?

Now we are going to read the text. But, first, look at the blackboard, there are some words from it. Can you guess what is this text about?

Before the reading, answer some questions.

Do you like watch or play football?, Do you know the rules of football?

O`K. I see. Your answers are very interesting. Now please read the rules of this game and then you are to answer my questions.

● Two teams of 11 players play on a pitch. Each team tries to score more goals

than the other.

● A game lasts 90 minutes, divided into two 45-minute halves.

● Players can use any part of their body except their arms and hands to move the

ball. The exception is when a player takes a throw-in.

● Goalkeepers can use their hands, especially when making a save.

● If a player commits a foul, then a free kick is awarded to the other team.

● If there is a foul inside the penalty area, a penalty kick is awarded to the other

team.

● If there is a more serious foul such as a bad tackle or handball, the referee can

show a yellow or red card. Two yellow cards or one red card mean a player is

expelled from the game.

● If teams have the same score (a draw) then extra time and penalty shootouts are

used to decide the winner.

● In Olympic football male players must be under 23 years old, though they can

have three older players in each team. There are no age restrictions for female

players.

Your next task is to make up , as many words as you can, from the phrase "football player". Put down these words in your copybook. You have only one minute and then we`ll check your answers.

Объяснение домашнего задания.

Now it`s time to finish our lesson and we are going to put down the homework. At home you are to write a composition, the topic is " I like/don`t like football because..." Put down 8-10 sentences.
