Ход урока.

Организационный момент. Представить гостей.

Listen to the breaking news and try to understand as much as possible.

b) Let’s try to solve a conflict situation.
Your schoolmate often doesn’t do his homework on Аlgebra.
And you often let him copy it from your workbook.
But sometimes he even copies it without your permission!
That beats all! (Ну, это уж слишком!)
Steps:
Let everyone suggest an idea about how to solve the problem.
Discuss what will happen with each idea.
Choose the best idea.
Put the idea into action.
4.Today we are going to continue our discussion about war conflicts.

Colonel Gadhafi

Are displeased with existing situation
To overthrow the Gadhafi regime
To suppress the opposition violently
To apply the violence
Let’s read news from that place. (читают с листочков)
The western leaders are worried about a potential for a bloody battle there.
Obama: “Those troops are not the subject to recognition. If Gadhafi does not comply with the resolution, the international community will be imposed to military action. Many thousands could die.”
President Obama says that Moammar Gadhafi’s troops must stop attacking civilians.
Hillary Clinton: “We have to see a very clear set of decisions that will make Gadhafi’s forces to move a significant distance away from the east where they have been persuading their campaign against the opposition.
We do believe a final result of any negotiations would have to be the decision by Gadhafi to leave.”
There would be involved the bombing targets like air craft missiles. Mr. Gadhafi has lost his legitimacy and must relieve the power.
The US does not support the direct intervention of ground troops into the conflict but The US Navy has the considerable air forces just on the Liberian coast.
The US government must play a central role in any military action against Libya.
