What genres of films do people like to watch?

That’s right. I see you know genres’ names. And now we will check what Russian films do you know.

What are the Russian titles of these films?

Thanks, so today we’ll speak about cinema.

Only today and only there – “The wonderful world of cinema”.

Many people are proud that they know very much about cinema. What do you know about cinema? What is you favourite film / genre / actor / actress? Let’s speak about it.

  Look at the slide and answer my question. What does this date stand for? What were these people? And what was the first film?

When did begin the history of Russian cinematography? With which name was it connected? Who were the stars of Russian silent films?

People like to watch… musical, thriller, feature film, comedy, action film, documentary (film), detective (film), adventure film, love story, historical film, melodrama, western, travel film, science fiction (film), screen version of a novel, cartoon.

The inventors of the cinema were the French. The Lumiere brothers invented the first film projector and motion camera in 1895. That year on the 28th of December they demonstrated the first three minutes film “Arrival of the Train”.

The spreading of cinematography in Russia started with the demonstration of the Lumiere brother’s film in May 1896 in St’ Petersburg and in Moscow. A. Khanzhonkov founded the first studio in our country, it was Yalta film studio. In the 1920th the stars of silent films were V. Kholodnaya, V. Polonski, V. Mashkov and others.
