Kansas

Kansas is a U.S. state located in the Midwestern United States. It is named after the Kansa Native American tribe, which inhabited the area. Kansas was first settled by European Americans in the 1830s.

The population - 2,871,238 people. The capital - the city of Topeka. The largest city – Wichita.

The state is also called the “Breadbasket of America”, because it is the leader among the states in growing wheat. The state ‘s tree is a poplar .

The climate of Kansas is continental, with cold winters and hot summers.

Industry

Kansas is famous for aviation manufacture. It is the world leader in the manufacture of personal aircraft.

Mineral products include petroleum, natural gas and cement.

Nebraska The Capitol

Nebraska is a state, which is located on the Great Plains of the Midwestern United States. Nebraska became a state in1867. Nebraska consists of 93 districts.

The population is 1,868,516 people. The capital of Nebraska is Lincoln. The largest city is Omaha.

There are two major climatic zones in Nebraska: the eastern half of the state has a humid continental climate, and the western half, a semi-arid climate.

The nickname of Nebraska is Cornhusker State. The state’s flower is goldenrod. The state’s tree is cottonwood and the state’s bird is western meadowlark.

Economy

Nebraska has a large agricultural sector and is an important producer of beef, pork, corn and soybeans. Other important economic sectors include transport, manufacturing, telecommunications, information technology and insurance.

Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania is a U.S. state that is located in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States, and the Great Lakes region. The Appalachian Mountains run through the middle of the state. Pennsylvania became a state in 1787.

Pennsylvania is the most historic state – the birthplace of Independence and the Constitution. It is called the “Birth state of the Nation”. Also the state is the home of the first computer.

The population is 12,773,801people. The capital is Harrisburg. The largest city is Philadelphia.

The flower of the state is mountain laurel. A deer is an animal of the state.

The climate in the most parts of the state is temperate continental, with hot summers and cool winters.

Pennsylvania is one of the top-ranking industrial states in the USA. It is famous for the production of pig iron and steel.

There are many machine-building factories in this state. Pennsylvania is famous for the production of the legendary Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

Also Pennsylvania has a large agricultural sector. This state produces corn, wheat, potatoes, grapes, various fruits.
