Theme: Academical programme. Education Abroad.

Goals:

1. Образовательные: познакомить учащихся с программами обмена студентами совместно с EF International Academy, введение новой лексики по теме «Образование» - graduate, alumnus, postgraduate, undergraduate, Bachelor, Master, retraining course, refresher course, major. Научить писать письмо-заявление для участия в программе обмена школьниками и студентами

2. Развивающие: способствовать развитию умений в письменной речи, с использованием изученных и новых лексических единиц, развитие умений в адировании текста, в чтении, переводе, умение работать в микрогруппах.

3. Воспитательные: мотивировать детей на изучение иностранного языка, способствовать развитию самостоятельности учащихся, логического мышления, расширению кругозора, уважительного отношения к культуре и языкам англоговорящих стран, способствовать воспитанию стремления к самосовершенствованию, а также чувства уважения к сверстникам, которые добились успеха в жизни сами;

The method of education: словесный, практический, наглядный.

The forms of organization activity: индивидуальная, групповая.

The lesson equipment: учебник “Enjoy English -11”, CD к учебнику”, презентация в программе MS Power Point., интерактивная доска для выполнения упражнений по лексике (Витаминный курс), карточки с цитатами об образовании, проспекты академических программ, журналы International Academy.

The lesson abstract

1. The mobilizing beginning of a lesson

Good morning. Glad to see you. The theme of our lesson is Academical programmes. Education Abroad.

In a year you will finish our school and you will enter universities to continue your education. You will have to study English on a higher level. Many universities in Russia offer their student exchange programmes when students can go to English - speaking countries to improve their English, to make friends, to learn about traditions and customs of other countries, and finally to become independent.

2. The preparation block

There are different opinions about education Read the student’s opinions on where to get an education and translate

• I believe that a degree from a prestigious university guarantees a high salary in future

• I think a good education and professional skills can be got in any university

• Graduates of top universities have more job opportunities an are more likely to have successful careers

• It’s true that a university which is not very famous is easier to enter but I think the quality of the education is the same.

К сведению: Маги́стр (от лат. magister — наставник, учитель) — академическая степень, квалификация (в некоторых странах — учёная степень), приобретаемая студентом после окончания магистратуры (освоения специальной программы обучения).

Бакала́вр (от лат. baccalarius — «молодой человек», в свою очередь от лат. bacca lauri — плод лавра) — академическая степень или квалификация, присуждаемая лицам, освоившим соответствующие образовательные программы высшего образования.

• высшее профессиональное образование, подтверждаемое присвоением квалификации (степени) «бакалавр» (срок обучения не менее чем 4 года);

• высшее профессиональное образование, подтверждаемое присвоением квалификации (степени) «магистр» (срок обучения не менее чем 6 лет).

Основная профессиональная образовательная программа, обеспечивающая подготовку магистра, состоит из программы обучения бакалавра по соответствующему направлению подготовки и не менее двухлетней специализированной подготовки (магистратура).

Лица, освоившие программу подготовки бакалавра, поступают в магистратуру по конкурсу.

Language centers EF are opened in Britain, the USA, Canada, Australia, on Malta and in many other countries.

You may live in the English-speaking family or maybe student residence

During your educational excursions you visit museums, galleries and local sights.

Brighton

Brighton - a youth city with a considerable quantity of sights and fine vacation spots, cozy restaurants, theaters and art galleries. About a city speak as about «мини London at the sea»: it unites appeal of capital and settles down at sea coast, and round Brighton you will find fine landscapes of countryside.

Captivated by charm of French riviera of France, you for a long time remember seaside parkway, fragrant confectioner's shops, paved small streets of an old city. Sun weather of 300 days in a year does this resort by a favourite place of tourists from every corner of the globe. Here you are waited for by 30 kilometres of beaches where you can be engaged in water sports, sunbathe and much be bought.

- Receive letters from Universities and make a choice.
