Demonstrative lesson. Theme: The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The aim of the lesson: Educational: to tell about geographical conditions, population, industry and climate of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; Developing: to develop students’ speaking, listening, writing, answering skills and abilities through comparing the countries of the Great Britain; Bringing up: to give an international education to the students, to bring up the students to love the beauty of London, to help them love and respect foreign languages.

The type of the lesson: travelling and competition lesson. The kind of the lesson: mixed lesson. Methods: individual and group work, question- answer work, game, graphical dictation. Visual aids: a map of Great Britain, cards, pictures, slide, project, a tape- recorder. The procedure of the lesson:

Organization moment. Greeting. Teacher: Dear students, today we have got many guests. They are our teachers. We say them welcome to our lesson. So, our task is to brush up our knowledge about Great Britain. You`ve already known a lot about the Great Britain and Northern Ireland, its people and some facts about the capital of this country. Phonetic drill. Look at the project board and repeat after me: a) London, United Kingdom, Europe, century, masterpiece, St. Paul`s Cathedral, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square.
